Fuel System Installer - Team Leader
Black Hill, NSW 2322• Full-time •
Due to an increase in installation projects, we are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and motivated individual to lead our team in the installation of retail fuel service stations.
About the role:
Reporting to the Directing Installer, you will lead the installation team to conduct installation projects of retail petroleum systems and associated equipment including underground and above ground petroleum tank farms, monitoring systems, underground piping networks and fuel dispensing systems. You will ensure a high quality of workmanship with attention to detail and a focus on efficiency.
You will oversee the installation of electronic systems and other contracted works to ensure the systematic completion of the installation project from site establishment to clean up.
About the work:

Installing underground and above ground petroleum tank farms, monitoring systems, underground piping networks and fuel dispensing systems under the direction of the Directing Installer.

Supporting the Directing Installer with site and equipment preparation, scheduling and team leadership

Liaising with external contractors to oversee and facilitate external excavation, electrical, concreting and other contractor work

Ensuring the smooth running of installation projects from site establishment, team leadership, construction works to cleaning-up of site and project completion

Carrying out construction works, liaising with external contractors and supporting external works where necessary

Troubleshooting and rectify existing fuel equipment faults where necessary

Other construction related duties as required by the Directing Installer.

Working Conditions:

Work is performed in an outdoor setting, which could include inclement weather, heat and humidity, and exposure to dust and fumes

Must be physically fit and be able to repetitively lift and carry at least 20kg on a regular basis

Use of Personal Protection Equipment is required

Out of area travel may be required.

Overtime as required.

Must comply with the company’s drug and alcohol testing requirements.
You will have:
-
Minimum 3 years’ fuel experience in a similar role

Ability to supervise a small team and to oversee work contractors
-
Ability to read installation diagrams and CAD drawings
-
Construction, technical and mechanical knowledge and skills
-
Skilled use of specialised construction equipment, power and hand tools
-
Attention to detail with a commitment to high quality workmanship and efficiency

Practical problem solving and diagnostic skills
-
A focus on high quality workmanship and efficiency
-
A commitment to WHS and a valid Construction Induction Card
-
Unrestricted Heavy Rigid driver’s licence
-
Previous experience and skills in retail fuel installation, plumbing, or unrestricted electrical work would be an advantage.

Fuel equipment experience is a MUST
